<p style=”text-align: left;”>Does any one know any good motherboards that have a decent or cheap price. I don’t need anything fancy. But I do need a 2011-3 socket.</p>

I’d say gigabyte or Asus,  MSI at worst.

or EVGA if your made of money.

Yup as Xsannz said Gigabyte said, fourth or fifth build now and never had a problem with them. The Asrock X99 board from New egg is also worth a look.

Oh okay. I actually ended up going with another msi x99 board.

But for my next build (which is for my father to play elite on) what system specs do you guys think for something wallet friendly yet good enough to run it smoothly? What socket type should I go with? (something less expensive than 2011-3)

      LGA 1151 is where it’s at 🙂

i just recently upgraded my system build around a GA-Z170X… There are cheaper boards around in the 1151-range.

I’ve ‘only’ put an i5 in it (my workmate put an i7 in the one she bought at the same time..), but it’s cheap & good.

I’ve only got experience with home built machines with gigabyte boards – unfortunately I can’t comment on any other manufacturers.

when I wake up properly, I’ll send you my current system specs – they’re not overkill but run E:D beautifully (barring the win 10/AMD driver cockup that is)
