I have found a trade route that has made me many millions over the last few days

Aymifa (Lomimosov Terminal) take Beryllium to …

Meliontit (Abe dock) take Resonating Seperaters back.

Ive had fairly steady trading between those two the prices take a while to drop off and then it’s only on one end.

Latest report bring bad news this Trade route seem to have become popular 4 CMDRs were seen in AYMIFA by one of our members.

I will give it a try thu the week see if it’s just a weekend thing.

I notice that there’s a similar run listed on http://eddb.io/trade/single, so wonder if it’s just become popular.

Do we need to consider a trade protection “escort” into Aymifa..?

Perhaps a presence of fighter ships may encourage people to stay away.  No combat, just stern staring and finger-pointing?

A simple comms to them like “Oooh, what do you have for me?” 😀

      For those interested:

I’m currently running the following trade route in my T7:

Reed Port, Wangal -> Melotte Terminal HIP 19758

      Gold -> 993/t profit

      Resonating Seperators <- 989/t profit

      = 1,982CR/t

      I’m making 451,896CP profit on a return trip. 🙂

The Reed/Melotte run is one of our ‘standards’ -I’ll be posting this and other runs in the next day or so

A decent one for longer range ships…

Wangal : Reed Port / Vries Orbital

      – SELL Imperial Slaves (1250 cr/t profit)

      – BUY Superconductors or Beryllium

      HIP 19758 : Mellotte Terminal

      – SELL Superconductors (950 cr/t profit) or Beryllium (1000 cr/t profit)

      – BUY Performance Enhancers

      BELALANS : Boscovich Ring

      – SELL Performance Enhancers (970 cr/t profit)

      – BUY Imperial Slaves

      Profits are approximate.  🙂

With serious weight trimming, it’s possible to get a fully loaded Type 7 doing the trip to/from Belalans in 2 hops, as opposed to 3.

A few more runs, for your enjoyment:

      1. Mori’s Run [Wangal:Reed/Vries <-> Niu Lang O:Hirasawa] – Suits long range ships
        • Wangal: Reed / Vries –  Sell Slaves. Buy Gold / Beryllium
        • Niu Lang O: Hirasawa Station – Sell metals.  Buy Imperial Slaves
        • Averages profit of 1K / tonne each way.
        • Suits long range ships up to and including Clipper
      2. von Schnellenstein’s Triangular [Wangal -> HIP 18187 -> Niu Lang O] – Suits long range ships
        • Wangal: Reed / Vries – Sell Slaves [950-1200 Cr/tonne profit]. Buy Gold / Beryllium
        • HIP 18187: Tuttle Station – Sell metals [950-1200 Cr/tonne profit]. Buy Auto Fabricators
        • Niu Lang O: Hirasawa Station – Sell Auto Fabricators [800-950 Cr/tonne profit]. Buy Slaves
        • Drivers of T7 or above should use this route over Mori’s route to ease price pressure on Slaves.  It will take a T9 once every 3-4 days
      3. von Schnellenstein’s Siriaba Run [Siriaba <-> Tialocan] – Suits ships LESS THAN 200T Cargo
        • Siriaba: Aoki Dock – Sell Resonating Separators [1K-1.3K Cr/tonne profit].  Buy Gold or Beryllium
        • Tialocan: Richer Port – Sell Gold/Beryllium [1K-1.5K Cr/tonne profit]. Buy Resonating Separators
        • Please leave this run for newer AI members with smaller ships up to and including T6!
        • Note that prices in Siriaba are often a bit variable:
          1. Small population == Resource production rate fairly low
          2. Goes in/out of Boom frequently
          3. Has been hit hard recently by two community goals nearby

I notice that the tax is back, I did my usual run yesterday and lost almost 400 per tonne in bulk tax.

I think the limit is just over 200 tones before you get hit with it, and it’s almost 30%!!

Hmmm, I’d never heard of the tax either.  Between this and FD ‘hiding’ and/or reducing the locations where one can purchase an Anaconda, I’d say FD are trying to:

      1.  Sneakily nerf trading as an attempt to balance earnings across the four general activity streams (trade/bounty/mining/piracy)
      2. Severely slow the rate of people upgrading good ships with good equipment
      3. Make a well kitted Anaconda almost as hard to obtain for new players as Elite combat ranking
        1. Which would make the promised “Corvette” almost impossible to obtain within a reasonable timeframe

We should vociferously protest this tax with FD!

If the tax is across all trade items, then FD are saying: don’t upgrade the T9 beyond default cargo capacity of 200T.  Which is as good as FD saying: “The T9 was a mistake, we’re making it redundant.  By the way, we’re introducing the Lynx Bulk Carrier as a playable ship, but it will be next to useless as a money earner – haha!”

The bulk tax i think used to be for selling above 400 of a single commodity, there used to be a thread about it.

Certain backers (above what i paid for) are exempt from paying.

It’s not supposed to be a tax per-say especially not one to slow trading, it was a way of tackling the ‘Lakon effect’ which is basically anyone in a trading T9 or Conda ruining economies and wrecking faction influence for everyone else.

They fixed up the influence effect and now trading does much less damage and about equal to heavy mission running but short of giving all economies static prices you can’t do much about the damage Lakons do.

The tax is to encourage diversifying so it becomes profitable to run 2 commodities rather than one.

Ah, so just >200 of a single commodity.  That seems fair.

Thanks for the explanation and background.  I can get down off of my soapbox, then!

Not of any great note but the Tax break that certain backers enjoy only counts at Founders World.  Selling anywhere but Founders world and the tax applies just the same as for everyone else.

Maybe they dropped the number but i didn’t see it mentioned in any patch notes…

Ah a quick search reveals its a bit more complex and not a static number. Its to stop people dumping say 440t of something into a market that only wants 1000t.

While it still makes sense because they want it all, bring 44% in one go will flood the market and most likely overstock everyones warehouses rather than a slow trickle in of goods.

      Also

Bulk tax is when you have too many of item X in your hold than the station wants to buy. They’ll buy all your cargo but at a lower price point. Doesn’t matter if you want to sell only a certain portion they’ll only buy at the price they set out based on how much is in your hold. I think it’s tied to demand. If it’s high you won’t get the penalty. If it’s medium it’s rougly 50T per unit or half of your maximum hold(I think). If it’s low it’s probably a lot less or just unprofitable. I’ve seen a 50% drop in profit when demand changed from High to Medium even when i’ve had more units.

Thanks again Mori.  The linked thread and related threads re sell prices versus demand for a given commodity are an interesting read.

The mechanic, whilst simplistic (and a little flawed, IMHO) does at least appear to be based on local demand for a commodity and in theory, makes sense

I’ll have to go back out there, get new stats and see if we can jerry-rig a mixture of commodities on that run.

Alternately, we can see what a T9 does to the little route I’ve been trawling recently…

Added the TRADE ROUTES Page to members “Principes” and higher.

We are currently testing the system.  I gave the keys of the system to Mori and Schnellenstein, I’m pretty sure they’ll populate it with gold.

      It will develop further.

The Genesis loop: 5 stations, 6 jumps, 4,200+/t profit (shamelessly hodgepodged together from other people’s trade routes)

      wangal – hip 19758beryllium 1030

hip 19758 -chicomoztoc progenator cells 1076

      chicomoztoc -laur Gold 1031

laur – guan yun mineral extractors 346

guan yun – wangal: bertrandite 803

      =4286/t

The only problem with this route, of course, is that Guan Yun will run out of goods pretty quickly if you’re thrashing it with a t9.
